Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying happens all the time and you need to know what it is and both avoid it and ensure it is not happening to any of your friends. 

Starter question: How is cyber bullying different from just bullying? Which do you think is worse and why?

Class Task

Write a short fictional story (creative writing piece) about a boy named Jack who was being severely cyber bullied. In your story, try to bring out the ways in which he was being bullied, how he felt and finally what he chose to do about it. End your story with some suggestions to the reader as to how to stand up to cyber bullying and what to do in the face of this.


What is Cyberbullying?

Bullying is defined as the repetitive, intentional hurting of someone or a group of people. Cyberbullying is one way this can occur - usually through mobile phones or over the internet. Cyberbullying can happen across many different platforms, like email, texting, social media or internet chatrooms and gaming.
