Statement to Diagram
Modern digital computers are incredibly complex and logic gates are the building blocks of computer circuits. If you label the inputs and the outputs you can describe the operation of each gate with a simple expression. In the same way that you write a single expression you can describe an entire circuit using expressions. This representation of diagrams using statements, and vice versa, is an incredibly useful tool for computer scientists working with complex circuits.
