Discuss: What sort of graphic will you be producing?
-Book cover, PS4/5 new game cover design, Web banner to advertise products, Digital infographic for a company, Comic book design. Can you think of any other uses and ideas?

These are all good places to look for copyright free images/video.
Photographs (mostly)
Pexels - good size, totally copyright free images
Free Images - does exactly what it says. Good size and quality images
Pixabay - public domain images are entirely free to use. You can't download the largest size without becoming a member of the site and you might get Captchas slowing you down a bit, but still a good source
Snappy Goat - really wide range of images. Avoid the sponsored ones at the top. Also has a cool name.
StockSnap - good quality, but avoid the Shutterstock branded images at the top of each search
Wikipedia - almost all images should be copyright free - there can be issues with logos etc...
Wikimedia Commons - lots and lots of images which are searchable. All free again
ISO Republic - quite large and good quality photos
Morgue File - good size and reasonable quality. But make sure you're searching in Morgue File and not one of the stock photo sites listed on it
Public Domain Pictures - you have to avoid the Ad pictures - they will cost money - and you can only download a reasonable size without paying, but, so long as you're careful what you're trying to download, a good source.
Life of Pix - nice, high quality images. Watch the Adobe Stock adverts though
Magdeleine - high quality photos but harder to search and you need to make sure you use the CC0 photos only. Not as highly recommended as some of the other sites here, but it might have just what you're looking for
Stock Vault - high quality and big enough - just avoid the right hand column of images as these aren't free
Pic Jumbo - decent range of good quality photos, but watch the premium area and the calls to sign up to e-mail
E2BN Gallery - images and sounds
Geograph - excellent for pictures of places or things in the UK. Generally pictures aren't that big so better for web use rather than for print documents
Cartoons, Icons and Vector Graphics
Sweet Clip Art - simple clip art which is good for developing simple characters from or for cartoon style images. Check the individual licence to check for use; most are totally free
Open Clipart - totally public domain. Use the search bar - there are some good images here. Make sure you download PBG versions
Icon Archive - pretty reasonable icon style art here in all sorts of categories
Public Domain Vectors - excellent for clip art and other vector files. Well worth a look for lettering etc... as well
Dry Icons icons only, but there are some really nice ones to choose from
Flat Icon - only icons, but a good source if you want them
Free Pik - vector graphics
Unsplash - excellent quality, large images which are totally free to use
