Welcome to the project walk through section on databases. The database software we will be using is Microsoft Access. It's worth knowing that 'Open Office' is the Microsoft equivalent, and it's free! After completing this, you can go through the different tests and test yourself on what you've learned!
So what can you do with a database? A lot! Most places, including schools, hospitals, libraries, compaines and most places you can think of utitilise a database in some way. You may want to kick start your learning by doing some flipped learning.
1. Follow the tutorial below that takes you through the creation of a database for a small business. It will help you to get started from scratch and create TABLES, FORMS, QUERIES and REPORTS.
