Spreadsheets are often seen as boring and pure tools of utility. It's true that they're useful, but that doesn't mean that we can't bring some style and formatting to our spreadsheets. Good formatting helps your user find meaning in the spreadsheet without going through each and every individual cell. Cells with formatting will draw the viewer's attention to the important cells.
Conditional formatting is an incredibly useful tool that allows you to format cells, based on a certain condition. For instance, suppose you were creating a spreadsheet with a list of students and their scores. You could use conditional formatting to turn all the students that have scores above 90% GREEN and all the rest RED!
