Introducing Number Systems
We tend to think that base 10 (Decimal) is the only number system but this isn't true! The ancient babylonians used a base 60 number system (60 seconds in a minute, sound familiar?) and there is an ancient tribe in Mexico that still uses the base 8 (Octal) system.
Here is a fascinating list of the different number systems. Why not have a go at creating your own?
