Using IF statements

We use the word "if" all the time. If I'm hungry, then I'll ask Mum for some dinner! We can use the if statement in programming and in scratch as well.

The if () then block is a control block and a C block. If its boolean condition is true, the blocks held inside it will run, and then the script involved will continue. If the condition is false, the scripts inside the block will be ignored.

Scratch Loops

If you ever need something to REPEAT, then the chances are, you'll need a loop. There are different types of loops in scratch and it will be a matter of finding the right block for what you need.

More on Loops

The Repeat Until () block is a Control block and a C block. Blocks held inside this block will loop until the specified boolean statement is true, in which case the code beneath the block (if any) will execute. This loop is in similar nature to a while loop in some other programming languages.
